Ministry Thrusts - Prayer

" Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."

Matthew 7:7-8

Indeed, all of us are required to have our time with the Lord, whether alone, by two’s, or by groups. In this way, we glorify God for His name alone is sovereign and holy. If all of us will do just as our Lord Jesus did—“Praying without Ceasing”—for sure there will be great joy, peace, and love for all mankind.

The Prayer Ministry of IBC is one of the many avenues in sharing “God’s Love and Power Reaching Out to You”, IBCM’s Mission Statement. The vision of the ministry is to encourage everyone to be a part of the ministry and to be involved in praying without ceasing. By this, we become more dependent on the Lord and not on ourselves. Through prayer, we discover the goodness and experience the personal devotion of God in our lives. No matter what we pray, God hears us for this is a lifeline of eternal love and everlasting hope.

There is no substitute for the daily reading and meditation of God’s Word for the growth of a believer in Christ. It enables us to know the Lord in a deeper way, and to discover more about the Lordship of Jesus Christ. The leading of the Holy Spirit guides us to be more focused on the goodness of the Lord so that through us Christ spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of Him. However, God also calls us to join together and to pray for each other for the prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective (James 5:16)
